I want to format my harddrive but I still want my notes to look exactly the same after I reinstall it. Is there any file I should backup before I format? (I also have database on local which I archive on my own HDD which I want to save it)

Yes, you need to keep the following files

Names.nsf - personal address book
Notes.ini - ini file
Desktop.dsk - your desktop settings
Your ID File - id file
You may want to keep your local log file - Log.nsf too

When you reinstall Notes, simply overwrite the newly installed versions of these files with th ones you have kept

Most of these will be in your Notes Data directory - except the ini file which is in your Windows / System dir.
