Notes Archives

I notice that by default, a  Notes archive does not place documents into folders. Is there any way of archiving documents into their respective folders ? Also, I have found that running the scheduled archive agent locally doesn't actually work at all.

In Notes 4.x, the Archive database is not designed to preserve folders (which I must admit, annoys many of my customers as sopme of them maintain ten's even hundreds of separate folders) . This glitch is changed in Notes 5.0. In R5, private and shared folders are preserved in the Archive database. The procedure for archiving can be found in the R5 Admin. Help.

To have documents in the Archive database display within a folder in Notes 4.x, you must move the archived documents to a desired folder while in the Archive database (or learn how to create a scripted archive profile that converts your folders in your mail file into categories in your archive.. a bit more work, but I have been successful doing it this way)
