I define a col with data type "text" in a table, after insert a text more than 255 chars, select from that col it can only display 255 chars, what can I do to store more than 255 chars to the col, or this is only a matter of "select"?
Thank you very much!

this is a limitation of ISQL, ISQL/w, etc., not displaying more than the first 255 characters.

You can verify that all the text is there (more than 255) by BCP-ing out the data.
