Write an OnClick handler. To do this double click in the OnClick event in the object inspector -->

procedure TForm2.CheckBox1Click(Sender: TObject);
begin
  If CheckBox1.Checked then
    begin
    // Do what you need to do here...
    end;
end;

To force the checkbox to a particular state jsut set its checked property:

CheckBox1.Checked := True;

Note that this happens automatically when someone clicks on the component so you would only do this if you want to override this behaviour...

Cheers,

Raymond.

Hmm.. I that case you had better reject my answer. One of the other experts (like Viktor) will be able to answer this better than I.

Cheers,

Raymond.
