I am looking for a free graphic program that allows me to desighn good diagrams such as data flow diagrams, hardware connectivity and so on. Please if you know some, This for a a very imp. presentation. I thank you in advance.

Try looking for something at http://www.download.com.
A good starting point would be the Business:Presentation Tools category.
Try something like Flow Charting PDQ Lite or  NetDraw Plus which are both shareware, or SmartDraw which is available as a demo.
