I need to get out of my company's intranet to download a web page. So I need to give username and password to the proxy server. I can do this by setting IE or Netscape's options. How can I do it in MFC?

I did this on a wingate proxy, you just have to find the format on how to make an outgoing asynch connection. Connect with the following format....

Server : 192.168.0.254 (wingate proxy)
Name   : UserName@ftp.somewhere.com:21
Pass   : Password

Proxies will not let you connect unless you connect through them. To connect to ftp.somewhere.com you have to connect to the proxy server. Once connected you have to indicate where you want to go in the UserName field. Enter the username then append the desired location (wingate uses the format name@server:port). then the password like normal and YOUR IN!
