Hello!

I need to use Notes to automatically generate monthly reports. I understand that Notes comes with this facility to generate report. How good is that? If I do not want to use it, can Notes interface with other software (eg, VB's Crystal Report) to generate the report??

Thank alot!

1. LotusNotes doesn't come with the facilty of generating report. Though a separate product Notes Reporter  comes. This can be used to generate report with information on Notes Database. You can download from the net. Trial version is available. I find quite good.
Ya, Notes can interface with other softwares also but I have no idea about this particular
 VB's Crystal Report.
Few weeks ago I had generated the report in Notes View itself (which was later exported into MS excell) but it was very simple.

Notes Reporter is a very nice product which can be used to generate very sophisticated reports in matter of minutes. It supports various types of joins. Apart from notes database, it can also access other databases like MS Access and many other. It also supports SQL statements, which makes it a very usefull reporting tool for Lotus Notes.
You have to try it once to appriciate its fuctionallity.
