I would like to have my Outlook98 data in a different directory than the default (winnt/profiles/...).  I keep all my personal files on a different drive and back that drive up regularly (but not the drive that contains the OS and apps).  What should I move, and how can I point Outlook to the new directory?

Thanks very much, Dave

This information only applies to Outlook97.  I specifically asked for information for Outlook98!  Although the information provided was not in any way specifically appropriate, it gave me enough clues that I was able to figure out how to solve the problem on my own.

This is how it is really done for Outlook98.
1. Find the location of the PST file by selecting Properties/Advanced after right-clicking Outlook Today in your Folder List.
2. Make a copy of this file and place it where you want.
3. From the File menu select Open/Personal Folder Files
4. Open the new file (the copy of the original).
5. Right-click on the new Personal File now showing in your Folder List
6. Select Delver POP mail to this personal folder
7. Follow the prompts to restart and select Yes when asked to recreate shortcuts.
