Actually there is no Lotus Notes driver for Hayes 56K modem. &nbsp;When I used &quot;Generic&quot; or &quot;Auto-config&quot; driver, it is not stable at all even 14.4K is setup.<br />

One other point to mention about standard modem comms:<br />

If you aredialing out through a telephone exchange - ISDX - this can cause your modem speed to top out at 14400 if it's an old exchange.<br />

My company is using Hayes Optima 33.6K modem for Lotus Notes dial up.  It becomes very difficult to buy Hayes 33.6K modem anymore.  Any recommendation about new modem, both external & PCMCIA?  I tried Hayes 56K modem but it doesn't work.
