If you tell me why you are asking, I can get into more detail on the subject or problem you are trying to solve.  Are you thinking of buying a graphics card?

thanks rose fire its more clear to me now  but I still need your opinion on my situation ..I have  an amd266 mmx  96mb sdram v.90 modem and 3d graphic card w\2mb memory (not ugradable) PCI.  OH , I HAVE 512 L2 CACHE,ANYWAY I DONT CARE MUCH ABOUT ACTION-VIDEO-games BUT I DO WANT WEB PAGES TO LOAD FASTER,ANY SUGGESTIONS..
Yes!  A graphics accelerator will not help this.  Your PC has plenty of horsepower in all the other areas.  The best thing you can do to speed up web page loading is to  speed of the connection your computer  makes to your ISP.   It is your modem connection that usually  limits the speed.

Do you feel that your connection goes slower than other peoples?
Or is it that you just want more speed?
What is your modem, and what connect speeds are you getting?

There are many alternatives to the standard modem including ISDN which will take you to 115k, and using two modems at once to connect (only supported by some ISPs).  Direct TV also has satellite internet access which is expensive, but very fast in moving data onto your PC.  Moving it off uses the standard modem connection (you can't beam information back).

increasing the web browser cache size will help the speed at which pages that have been looked at recently load because they are on your hard drive unless the web page changes and the copy on your drive becomes stale. . Increasing the cache size just make it remember more pages before old pages are replaced by  more recently seen ones.  I need to know your browser to tell you how to do this.
