Search engines use electronic robots to gather and index the pages of your web site. The design of your pages, use of meta tags, and use of robot commands can signficantly improve the ranking of your site's content when searched using commercial search engines such as
Alta Vista. The algorithms used by search engine sites continues to change and adapt to the strategies employed by web designers. For instance, some pages were designed with keywords hidden by using the same color as the background; this double dipping can now be
detected and the entire page or site will not be indexed. It is therefore important to use standard, commonly accepted techniques to optimize the indexability of your site.

The following are examples of the use of META tags:
<META name="description" content="This is a general overview of how to use META tags to improve search engine findability">
<META name="keywords" content="META, meta, Meta, meta tags, META TAGS, Meta tags, search engines">
