btw if your name contains a space, you are not included in the list.  Someday I might get around to fix that...

>perhaps this could be a once a month thing

Perhaps, since Delphi is an active board.  But it seems that one user has a problem with this!!

Not me.  Instead, I suggest that you REMOVE the question,
since it seems contrary to the E-E "guidelines".
     See: http://www.experts-exchange.com/info/usrcntr.htm
     which states:

Don't ... use this service other than for serious questions and answers

(Just for completeness sake :o) . Do you think the glowing praise in the early comments diverted Otta's attention or did they genuinely miss this one?)

That is "plagiarism".  I "suggest" you remove that "comment".  It is INAPPROPRIATE.  The customer agreement clearly "states":

Don't:
* violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

_*PLEASE*_ see:  http://www.experts-exchange.com/info/usrcntr.htm
for more information.

I am going to have to "report" you to customer service, because the customer agreement "says" I am "obligated" to!!

:)

Funny thing: d003303

After over 1 year this user hasn't earned a single expert point in the Delphi area and is still in the top 15. What does that tell ya?!

seems like a lot of people passing by before getting to the top15.....

happens in all the sections, where you got 10 or so very active users, in sections like VB they just put up the bar with every new top15 expert...

i found a Delphi answer on your site once, before you joined, and we mailed about Brazilian economics :O) now you're a top notch Delphi expert

Good to see that....

btw EE could provide such lists themselves i guess, they can do a top100 and top15 realtime, so getting a monthly where_are_you_list shouldn't be that hard....

Scrapboy's server sabotage efforts were insignificant compared with Mirky's attempt to replecate the entire EE database.

>they can do a top100 and top15 realtime

They do that, but the Top100 is overall (the entire site). Just click on the link "Hall of fame" on left of any page.

>and we mailed about Brazilian economics

Small world!

>top notch Delphi expert
I wish!

SteveB, was it that easy? Boy, things have changed quite a bit sicne then, huh?

Actually I think Mirkwood succeded. His search engine was always far superior to anything EE produced.

Scarbdog how did you do that?

Can you get the current list of delphi experts again?

That was so long ago I don't exactly remember...I think I did this:

1.  Checked each PAQ on the Delphi page, extracted the answerer
2.  If it was a new answerer, I would fetch the Delphi score from his/her profile.
3.  After all relevant PAQs were fetched, I would sort the list of answerers, and that was my output

Was this the way you did it as well?

My program is obsolete because it uses the old-old-old-old look of E-E.  I would have to recode the HTML parser for it to be useful again.

Meatboy has of course omitted stage four from his complete guide to coding:

  4) Get fellow experts to re-write your code to eliminate bugs involved with recognition of sensible date formats and elementary use of String Grids.

Ah yes, we must give StevieB credit for the "Sensible British Date Format" code, which I used in Scrappy Profile (but not this proggy).
