I am having a problem with the cmdlg32.ocx being out of date when other people try to run my program that was made in VB6 enterprize

Make sure that you distribute the cmdlg32.ocx with your application. Are you using the setup wizard? If so make sure that the file is included in the list.

I put my project.exe + the comdlg32.ocx in a zip file
Then I have them extract it and move the comdlg32.ocx to the windows\system director.
On some computers it works, but on most it wont work. And it had worked on win95 and win98 operating systems.

Copying the .ocx file is not enough. It must be registered on the machine. From the start menu, choose RUN, then enter the following:

regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx

Then try again.
