I have very large iMac files (40Mg-50Mg) that I want to transfer to my G-3 standard Mac.  How can I transfer these when I am not on an ethernet network at home, and my G-3 Mac won't read the superdisk floppy (Imation)? My G-3 also does not support USB configuration.

You are going to have to do it over ethernet. The solution is to buy an ethernet crossover cable so as to avoid buying an expensive hub. The crossover cable will let you connect the two and simply appletalk them. Then its as easy as drag and drop. The cable will run you about $5 for a 6 foot length. Make SURE its a crossover cable and not a regular ethernet cable.

Thanks for the speedy response...I would like clarification on the hookup of the cables...The crossover cable is hooked from the iMac to the ethernet port in my G-3. How exactly do I transfer the files through Appletalk?

Weed:  I figured out the transfer using Appletalk and Filesharing.  Thanks again.
