Netscape navigator 3.04 does not have one or more prefs.js file(s)anywhere.I am needing to either create a batch file that will allow me to switch between any one of four different e-mail addresses??OR...to find some alternative method for doing this.Right now,I am entering each one in manually which is too time-consuming.

Install Netscape 4.xx. With this version you are able to create different user profiles. In your case, use a different profile for each email account. With each profile enter the preferences for the email address and server details. Only draw back is you have to close Navigator before changing to another profile. However, better than changing preferences each time!

Actually thats a very good and informed answer and I appreciate it.I should have stated that I dont wish to change browser versions and really want to keep my nav 3.04.Therefore,it would seem to "boil down" to an application add-on that will do this very thing or...a dos batch file using choice or menuitem.I guess my question is "what utility or application ,either add-on or stand-alone,will allow me to switch between one e-mail address to another?

There are lots of different programs suitable for checking multiple email accounts. I myself have not used them though. However, checkout the following addresses and you will find both shareware and freeware programs.
http://www.davecentral.com/mailnotify2.html
http://nng.simplenet.com/index.html (go to the search folder and enter the following words:
email multiple accounts) ensure the boolean requirement is AND.
Then select "NONAGS E-mail Utilities (Freeware)" to display programs.
Let's hope I get the points this time! *LOL*

I would think the programs I just suggested will only check for new email. If you want to switch between servers for sending new mail out then these programs would not allow for this, I would imagine. Please inform me as to your progress.
