Hey fellows!

Is there a program available that can search and
replace some text-string in multiple files ?

Download quickcha.zip from www.filepile.com
That's a very good one.

just search for : 'replace text multiple files' and enable the option 'AND words together'

ps : quickcha.zip is for Windows 95/NT, but they have some good tools for DOS too.

Hello dlansens!

Thanks for a quick reply, however the program that you suggested was
almost unusable. The interface lacked so much that we decided
to code our own. A major problem was that we had almost one
thousand files to update, and we couldn't actually see which files
we had selected (more than some 30).

So we make our own. But thank you for a quick reply.
