Clrscr() using Java

Anybody guide me how to clear screen using Java?? like clrscr() of C/Pascal. I use Java 2 on Windows 95.

if you use
- command line aplication - you can't clear the screen - you have only standard input and standard output - there is no concept of 'text screen'
- GUI application without AWT components - clearing screen is all to yourself, because probably all the drawing is in your paint methods. you can paint some pictures, or paint solid backgroud (clear screen)
- GUI application with AWT components - you'll have to hide all of them (using setVisible(false) or CardLayout)
