You can't pass parameters between one pure HTML page and another.
You need to use a cookie of some sort, or store the information in one HTML frame and swap out the other- then use a scripting language to pass the information from the frame containing the parameters to the page newly loaded in the other frame.
Hope that helps...

If the pages are both in the same browser-window (so if you use frames), then parameters can be interchanged using javascript. This can also be done between different instances of the same browser, but only if you know how to refer to those instances (for example if you have used "window.open".

I am assuming that you want to take text that has been entered into an <input type="text"> and display it in another page. If this is the case you can use the Session object to store text values as variables and then use them in any other page in the site. This requires the use of Active Server Pages and a server that supports them. I recommend Microsoft Personal Web Server for testing and Microsoft Internet Information Server for the live site.

An important point is that the pages MUST be viewed from a web server; ie: just opening the file on your local disk using the File|Open command in the browser won't work. Also, I haven't tested this with Netscape so I really don't know if it works but I doubt it. If this sounds like an option you'd like to explore, I can post some samples.

In the meantime, you can read more about the Session Object and ASP Cookies by visiting the MSDN Online Library and searching for "Session". The document entitled Managing Sessions is quite good. http://msdn.microsoft.com

Good Luck

The Above comments may very well work in different Frames, but I am having a typical problem with the same type.
I am having Two Web Servers.
Displaying a FrameSet with Two Frames
Frame #1 Contains Page #1 from WebServer #1
Frame #2 Contains Page #2 from WebServer #2

Page #1 of Frame #1 Contains a Button On Clicking Which I have to Pass a Hard-Coded Value to a Text Box on Page #2 of Frame #2

I have Used JavaScript, VBScript on IE4.0 & IE5.0(Beta) both browsers fail but,
Netscape Navigator & Communicator does this.

On Enquiring this typical scenario with Microsoft, they say its a Security Feature but How to disable this security feature so that I can solve my possibility of running the applicaion is not known.

Hope You guys are having a Quick and Fast Solution for this.
