hi svenj,

have you controlled each bde configuration?

if there overall the same netfiledir (called NET DIR in the BDE Administrator by configuration|driver|native|Paradox) entry?

if no the edit it to the same entry

if yes, then if in the DB-Dir *.lck files, delete them (make sure that all are disconnectet before)

hi svenj,

appendix
the NET DIR Entry should pointed to a networkdrive/path the same for all and not local like c:\tmp

That worked just fine, but how do I prevent other users from editing the same record?

hi svenj,

if you use paradox, the current record will be automatically locked if his state changed to dsEdit. a other User can't edit this record. If the user try to edit the record, which is edited by other a exception is raised. Therefor is nothing to do except to handle the exception, but the default message like "Record is locked by user xy" is good enough.
