Uninstalling IE4

I looked around in my computer for an uninstal executable for IE4 but couldn't find it.  IE is not also listed in the add/remove listing.  How can I delete this memory burner from my computer before I break my computer and terrorize Microsoft?

What is the path, I looked for the path, but I was not able to find it.  There was a directory which I was thinking might be the root for IE4, but the size of the folder was too small.  Thanks.
IE4 is integrated with win98. The best you can do is go to the folder options in explorer and select classic style. At least this will take a lot of the frills off. Also check out tweakui on the win98 CD. This will allow you to switch off more chrome features.

Then why did Microsoft argue in the courts that the users have the option to delete IE$ if they want?  Or is it that I am misinformed?

Can you tell me more about tweakui, how to run it, what options should I turn off,  I don't want to do anything stupid and regret it later.

I might just install NT if this **** doesn't make my computer faster, is it just me or does IE4 make the computer very slow?  And hopefully NT5 will not have IE4 integrated into it, that would be a real disappointment -- for me at least, my 300 Mhz computer acts like a 100 Mhz computer with IE4.  Is someone in Microsoft on acid?
Look for a folder called Powertoy on the windows98 CD. I don't have it handy or I would give you the complete path. If you really can't find it, press F3 with the root of the CD open in an explorer window and type tweakui in the named box.

Right-click on the inf file and select install. This will put in a tweakui control panel applet. From this you can select the general tab and make your selections. It's all very well set up so you can't get into any bother (someone at MS is not yet on acid)

Windows 2000 (fka NT5) will probably run IE6 and will make your 600MHz Pentium 3 run just as fast as your current machine <g>
