I have installed the Microsoft Index Sever but when I don't fill in an search word and hit the search button the following message comes:

Error "A restriction must be specified in the IDQ file
D:\InetPub\scripts\samples\search\queryhit.idq. " (0xc0002030) encountered while
processing the query "".

I have looked in the queryhit.idq file but don't know what to do.

Please help.

Greetings,
Jeffeny

The CiRestriction parameter is missing or empty. Every query must have a restriction. A restriction such as #vpath *.* will match all pages.
