Audio COmponent

Hi, I downloaded an Audio component that records sounds using the WAV scheme.  This component works fine under Win NT 4.0, but it fails under Win 9x.  Can some one help me out please?......another audio component (tested) that saves to WAV will work too.

hi
it may be a component specifically written for nt because of the hardware access diffrence,if you want a good audio component try
http://www.delphipages.com/   under the audio section there's a component called Taudio4 should do what you want and has a good example with it

Inthe, as a matter of fact, that is the component i'm using!!!

The problem was that something was missconfigured in my computer.

Do you really want the points :O)))  ??

By the way, good answer....TAudio4 is the best i've seen!

Even though the mistake was uppon my end, the component you mentioned is the best iv'e seen out there (as I said before :)  Hmm...guess I sould be fair, you did state the best answer possible (Up to my knowledge)

Barry, TAudio4 works fine with Win NT 4.0......

Hi,i need a help fro u jconde,can u send me some sample code
to record and compress audio file it can be in any language(preferably in 'C').i have writen a 'C' code in windows that can record in ADPCM format,now i want to record it or compress it H.232 or any other compressed format so that i can send it in internet.if u want i can explain to u in detail
