What kind of CD Writing program you use?

I neglected to say that I removed the cdrw from my computer and installed it the same way in another with an intell pentium chip with atx board and it works just fine sharing an ide port. &nbsp;Is this other system capable of higher levels of data transfer?<br />

I neglected to say that I removed the cdrw from my computer and installed it the same way in another with an intell pentium chip with atx board and it works just fine sharing an ide port.  Is this other system capable of higher levels of data transfer?

I have tried adding an Acer cdrw to my system (an amd 333 mhz, 64 mgs ram, running windows 98). After I have installed the hardware and rebooted, the computer recognizes both cds. Then when I try to make any copies it begins the process with testing and then promptly locks up. &nbsp;I have tried installing both cds on ide port #2 as master and slave and also with one as slave to the hard drive on ide port #1. &nbsp;No change. &nbsp;Help?
