Using mapi is easy , the only thing i have been unabled to do using Microsoft MAPI controls is force the retrieval if mail at a certain time without starting a new mapi session.
In other words i have an open session and the only way to check for mail is to set the downloadmail property to false and wait for the mapi app to do it for me. seems crazy , surly there is a way to initiate the download of mail ???

Note that you don´t need do *start* another session to download the e-mails: If the NewSession property of the MAPI Session control is set to false and there is a Session already established, the SessionID property will return the number of that session when you set de Action property to 1.

So, to retreive the e-mails with an open session, you need only to set downloadmail property to true, the NewSession property to false and set the Action property to 1.
