I checked help files in MSWord and edit some macros so I could see the instructions, but none of them work when I call then from my Delphi app. anyone can please tell me about a good book or web page for this stuff?

Hi jmpimetelc,

Great name!:O)

You could look at the excellent inprise faq about using Delphi
with Word or Excel at

http://www.inprise.com/delphi/papers/microexcel/

It goes from simple OLE automation to the much richer use of the Object models of Office via the COM Interfaces of Excel or Word. Guess the latter is what you to do, so take a first look there and when questions should arise ask them...........

Hope this helps,
