Ok I like to post something on the web via a FORM. Let supose my file is at /home/www/mydir/myfile.txt and contains some data. How can I manage through Perl to delete entire content of this file and fill it with the content of the FORM through POST action. is it possible since the file will get a 0 byte may cause problems. How can I do that only in PERL?

Thank you,

> delete  entire content of this file ..
open( FID, "> file") && close(FID);

> and fill it with the content of the FORM
open( FID, "> file") || die "cannot open file: $!";
print FID "whatever you like";
close(FID);
# NOTE that you need the proper permissions to do this
