What happens in sequence when you Boot Windows95 ? I would like the answer from A to Z, right on up to the Desktop. Please don't leave anything out. This will be for a class project.
Thanks Very Much

well, when when windows 95 boots, io.sys is loaded into memory first which reads config.sys and sets up the memory manager, then command.com is called by io.sys and autoexec.bat is executed.  after that finished, command.com calls win.com to actually start loading windows.  then windows loads all of its vxd and drivers for the devices you have all of the plug-n-play devices are set up at this stage too.  then it gets into the gui and it starts executing the run key in the registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run) and the runservices key.  after that the programs in the start up folder are started and if winstart.bat exist in the windows directory, it is executed.  then it is ready to use.
