A cloze test is: given a text with some words blanked out,
fill in the blanks. For any given text and number N, I want
to implement a fill-in-the-blanks test, where every Nth
word is a blank.  The user would then type in a word he
thinks may be the answer (for each and every blank), and
the program will tell him whether he is right or not, and
may even provide hints such as the first letter if he
inputs the wrong word more than once.
How do I create this in VB?

Set up a form with a multiline text box and a text box control array. Load the text box with the phrase that you're going to use, replace every Nth word with "_"'s to show where the word goes. As each word is located, create another text box in the array. Save your words in an array. After the form is complete, let the operator select each box. Put code in the text(index)_Change event and watch for <Enter>. Index value points to your word array as well as to which box operator is in.

For 50 points, that's all you're going to get from me! (grin)

What is this, a school assignment? The above instructions are enough to get you started in the right direction. You start roughing out the above and you'll have a good start. *THEN* if you have difficulty I'm willing to help. *BUT* if you want *ME* to do all the work, well my rate on my web page is $50/hr. (Not meaning to sound snotty, but that's how it is.)
