epson color 740 won't print large file

I'm trying to print a 600K B&W PDF document on my new epson 740.
Error message reads:
There is not enough space on your disk to hold the temporary print data. The documents disk or the disk for temporary files is full.I tried to allocate more memory to Acrobat Reader.I tried to allocate more memory to Epson 740.I tried increase system memory cache,I tried to turn virtual memory on,I have 35 megs of memory left on my 500 meg hardrive, and I have 24 ram and running ram-doubler.I can"t see the reason for the error messages.I am running a 7100AV66 Power Mac.
Thanks for your help.PS>The printer will print one or two pages at a time

The space that error message is referring to is your hard drive space. For some reason the Epson printers just EAT up hard drive space when printing and 35 megs may not be enough CONTIGUOUS space for it. Contiguous space being the key words there. Now without going into a full blown description of how your drive reads and writes data to your drive you will need to 1)clear enough space on your drive for it to store the extra information when printing 2)defragment your hard drive with something like Norton Utilities Speed Disk (which will create 35 megs of CONTIGUOUS space not the scattered space you have now). 3)reinstall the printer drivers with the newest versions. 3 should not be necessary but i always recommend it just to make sure there are no problems lingering there as well and thus messing up the troubleshooting process.
