I recently lost my ability to connect with ICQ...lost files or somesuch thing after a crash...and can't seem to re-register successfully. Also, every attempt to connect with ICQ or Mirabilis Web site is a failure...must Force Quit Navigator or Force Quit my Mac. What's a dummy to do?

youre not the only one. The miribalis web site is simply a disaster. Their servers are abysmally slow not to mention overloaded. The ICQ servers themselves are equally as bad and sometimes messages dont reach their destination for days. My suggestion would be to find a friend with a fresh copy of ICQ. install it and go from there. If youre still unable to connect give up while youre ahead and use email as its often faster than ICQ.
