hi boliao
The file is maybe not installed or in the wrong directory.
do a file find and check if it's the same on both machines.
if you do a partial install of vc++ some of the .lib files are not installed in that case it'l be on the vc++ cd somewhere..

hi,
well now you know the problem
is the following in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
CALL VCVARS32.BAT
it sets up your variabes for you which i've heard solves this problem.

hi hows it going?
did you find the .bat file?
i have been reading up on this and it seems we have 2 options left.
1)try compiling with the cd in the drive as it seems the original installation was'nt a full one .
2) reinstall vc++ again, this time doing a full install so all files are included.
im off to catch some zzz's
