I have a form runing on machine one, how can I one textbox TEXT1 on it, how can I update that txt box from machine two using another programme at runtime, without distracting the avi running in the same form in machine one. both are networked under w95.

You can use remote automation to do this, or use a winsockl control to send messages.

There are some very good samples that come with VB that should start you in the right direction. Look at the thingy sample, or the chat server sample. Also search for remote automatino in the help.

hi,
I have no example code, simply I need to type in a word or more in a text box in computer 1 , and display it in a form at run time on machine 2. may be the idea is not possible!!!
