not enough server storage

3 winnt workstation system in a workgroup have shared  resources(drives).when i try to access a share  from any other machine.i  get  an error  "not enough server storage available  to process the command"

reinstalling service pack could do the trick.
Saying you've installed it allready only counts when you haven't used the original WinNT cdrom for adding drivers or whatever.
If you have, reinstall.

Balaraju, you might want to try to change the MaxWorkItems Entry in the registry. Try to set it to 64 on the workstations and between 512 and 1024 on the server (if you  are using one). You find this key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters

MaxWorkItems: REG_DWORD: 64 (decimal)

After a reboot everything should be working fine !

Balaraju, if my proposed answer doesn't work try to change the registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters

IRPStackSize: REG_DWORD c (hex)

This worked on my server - so I bet it'll work on your workstations too.

thanks a  ton , i  tried   the  second  one first  that   is  making  irpstacksize=c(hex) ,and  it  worked fine .as per my experience  rebooting     the m/c is  not necessary  only stopping    the  SERVER  service  and then  restarting    the service should be enough.
