Bob, Mapi is part of the messaging client for all versions of Outlook and Windows Messaging. Have you recently installed any Outlook or other Windows Messaging components?

Hi Bob: This is going to take a little work as IE 5.0 is still a little funky right now in it's current beta release.

1. Boot your system into safemode.
2. Open Windows Explorer and scroll down until you find a folder named: Windows Update Setup Files. Copy all of those file over to a temp directory. Remember, copy them, don't move them. Close Windows Explorer.
3. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and uninstall IE 5.0 and Outlook 5.0.
4. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the system back into safe mode.
5. Open Windows Explorer and scroll down to the temp folder you made and find "IE5SETUP.exe", click on it and run the setup from within safemode. If your files have not been damaged from the original install, this will fix it. If they have, we'll have to go to the next step.
