My IIcx has a menu bar that appears to have rolled upside down and become much wider than normal. It doesn't affect any usage or application adversely that I can determine, except that it is difficult to put the arrow on a menu selection. Thanks for help.

hehe i dont spose you have kids do you? There used to be an extension that would do such things to system 7 and kids were notorious for finding them and infecting the family computer with them. I know, i was one of them..hehe Anyway i would check your extensions folder and/or your controll panels folder for anything "abnormal". try starting up with extensions off as well to narrow it down.

"Abnormal" is not very descriptive. What sort of extension or Control panel might qualify for that term. I have children around on rare occasions, but not when this occurred. I have had this computer for about four years and have Mac OS System 7.5.1 on it. Any more help available?

"abnormal" would be anything that you havent seen there before or has a name like "menu flipper"..hehe...if you want to be SURE youve gotten rid of everything go ahead and reinstall the system software. Its probably been a while anyway so it would probably be a good idea.
