I have designed a database with a few roles in it. These roles are used to display a action button in a view. There are some action buttons everybody can see and use (like the "quit" button).
This database resides on our notes server and works fine, BUT when i make a copy or replica to my workstation from this database, the roles don´t work anymore. All the buttons that are assigned to a role are not visible anymore so can´t be used.

Any suggestions ? What´s the problem ? How can I fix this ?

Greetings Bob !!!

In the ACL properties you MUST set the "Enforce consistent ACL acrross all replicas of this database." property.

What this does is effectively make the database act as if it is on a server and look in the local NAB for groups etc.  Don't worry though if the group is not in the local NAB as it will still work and can be made more secure if you have local replicas of the servers NAB (remember not to take them as names.nsf!)
