Can anyone tell me how to install Gnome on RH5.2 ? I just need the window manager and some applications, I been to to gnome webpage but there are so many files there and I dont know which one to down load

So please DO NOT tell me to go to Gnome.org, instead tell me:
exact path to get to the software, some tips or instruction appriciated, can I still use other Window manager along with Gnome ?

Try getting the RPMS from ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/redhat/latest/i386/

Just for a basic GNOME system you need at least ORBit, Gnome-libs, Gnome-core, Control-Center, glib, gtk, and libgtop.

AudioFile and ESD are needed for sound.  Enlightenment is needed if you want a fancy Gnome compliant Window Manager, though any other window manager will perform reasonably well with Gnome, also.

Beyond that, I also tend to recommend the File Manager (mc), gnome-utils, gnome-games, and gnome-media, and you may wish to go by www.balsa.net and get yourself a fairly decent email reader to try as well.  :)
