Prevent Notes admin from accessing to my mail

Hello all

I would like to prevent Notes administrator to access my mail database. Our Notes server is named "NAN6550". In ACL of my mail database, I added NAN6550 as a server type and assigned "No Access" for it.

Unfortunately, Notes admin still can read mail in my database. I test this by going to open my mail database on server.

I still can add icon to workspace and read any documents stored in my database.

I just want to prevent anyone from reading my documents.

Any comment?

If the admin team have a copy of your notes id then you are stuffed since anything you do can be read with your own id.

If they don't:
You can encrypt the entire database from database properties.
Amend the ACl so they don't have access.
Encrypt everything in your mail database as you send it and set the property to encrypt incoming mail...this is slightly different than encrypting the database since only the mail itself is encrypted.

NOTE:
Don't bother setting up a private encryption key for mail.  When you send mail if ANY encrption is set (field or document) your public key is used and the private key ignored.  This is acknowledged by Lotus in the Knowledge base and they are going to do nothing about this.

Sorry, it is a common complaint and one that I myself am arguing against.
Here we are trying to get our IT Security and Server teams to sign documents to sday that they MUST ask for the users and line managers permission to read a mail message, but this is proving quite difficult as the people involved are either technophobic or simply luddites.
