Is your CD drive shown in the system folder in Control Panel ? If not you need to get Windows to find it. Run Add new hardware and see what it comes up with.
What is the make and model of the drive ?

how is your cd configured in your computer? Is your Cd on the same channel as your harddrive if so move it to the 2nd channel and try haveing windows detect it again or if your cd is already on the 2nd channel check your bios to see if the second channels enabled. hope this works
