Is there any way, from VB, to add a mini-icon to the right hand side of the taskbar ?? (where the time appears) - I've used various applications that plonk their icon in that space - how do they do that ?

There are a lot of cheap (even freeware) controls for that ... goto www.activex.com and search on "System Tray".

The systray is that area where they dump the icons ;-)

You can do it with some API's, but why bother ...

Charon Software has one too
