The reference to cleaning the head worked. I took the cart out to look at it since it was new and there was a small piece of plastic still stuck to the bottom. It had somehow separated from the larger piece of protective plastic.<br />

I put in the photo cartridge and when I try and align it I get partial alignment lines. The red part prints but no black part so all the lines look alike.
