U know when someone is online with ICQ, but all ur friends, contacts must also have ICQ (download from the internet )

U will be notified when anybody in ur list gets online....

yahoo or any of those search engines have ''white pages'' to get peoples addresses and phone#s as well as aol.
in aol sometimes their data base can tell you if a person is on line or not.
good luck, kj

Go to http://www.yahoo.com and use their People Search feature.  Most other search engines also have people search.  Try them all.

www.whowhere.com has worked for me a few times (now a lycos service)

also check www.sixdegrees.com, which is based on the theory that everyone in the world is connected by less than 6 degrees.
