Clip art in word 97

In Word 97 when I select Insert-Picture-Clip Art, I get an error message: "The server application, source file, or item cannot be found. Make sure the application is properly installed, and that it has not been deleted."
What should I do?

I am offering this answer as a quick and dirty method to solving your problem. A file or files are corrupt.
There's no point in dicking around trying to find the culprit file(s). It may take a long time.

1) Back Up your important Word97 documents and templates.
2) Uninstall Word97.
3) Re-Install Word97.
4) Restore your Backed Up Word97 documents and templates.

Dear skylab:
Since posting my problem I have found a relevant article: Q138491. "How to Reinstall Clip Art in Microsoft Office."

In reference to the error message it says: The file Popular.pcs (or any other .wmf files) has been deleted, has been moved or has been corrupted. (This does not apply to Microsoft Office 97). or
The ArtGalry.cag file is corrupted.

The solution calls for clicking Microsoft Office in Add/Remove, In Microsoft Office Setup dialog box, click Add/Remove. Select Office Tools, and click Change Option. Clear the Clip Art (or Popular Clip Art) Click OK. Click Continue. After setup done, delete ArtGalry.cag. Then repeat and select Clip Art...

My problem is that Office 97 is not listed in my Add/Remove Programs, as I have only installed several components, eg Word and Excel.
Can I solve this problem without reinstalling Word 97 or installing all of Office?
locate ArtGalry.cag and mofify word's ini file or registry entry with the correct folder location path
