Internet Mail

I have just recently had a problem with my internet mail link within my browser.  I had installed Outlook prior to the problem occurring.  I have since uninstalled Outlook, and have updated my browser from IE3 to IE5.  When I select to read mail, I get this error message:
Cannot find the file '9B-11DO-933C-00AOC9)DCAA9}'(or one of it's components.  Make sure the path and the filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.

Have I deleted a linking file? How can I re-link to Internet Mail from within the browser?
When I choose Internet options from the Tools menu, I am unable to enter anything under the program tab.  The only two entries are for newsgroups (using Internet News) and
internet calls (using Microsoft Netmeeting).

Reinstalling should be able to fix this problem, albeit a bit annoying to reinstall these apps but quickest way.  Re-install MS Outlook and then uninstall it and should be ok, if still stuffed the reinstall IE5.
Have fun.

I thought I would have to do the old install/re-install job but thought maybe there was another way.  Maybe not easier, but something that would have helped me to understand the mechanics of the links between Internet Mail and Explorer.  I am confused as to how I can open my browser from Internet Mail but unable to do the reverse.

Check out FIle Association from the View -> Options Menu and that may help.

OK.  Re-installed Outlook, which was obviously the file needed.  But I don't want to use Outlook.  Tried re-installing IE5, but the same problem occurred with Outlook not installed.  Cannot find an option for File Association from the view menu in IE5 or Internet Mail.
