I am trying to use Coolbar Control. In VB help the file for coolbar control is Comctl332.ocx but I could not find this file on my machine ( I have VB 6 Prof. Edition) Instead I found comct332.ocx when I reference Microsoft Windows common controls-3 6.0 (Sp3). Then I can use a Coolbar control on my form. I don't understand is this a typing mistake? because in the help they mentioned Comctl332.ocx .
When I try to use Child property of Band I don't see any controls in my dropdowan box of properties section of cool bar control. That's why I am not able to do anything.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Anagha K

That is a typing mistake... You see that microsoft tries to make all the names on their files not more than 8 characters, so Comctl332.ocx is 9 letters, so that has to be wrong.

Anyway, the Child property just tells windows that when the Coolbar is moved or repositioned, all the child controls shall follow.

I don't know for sure, but the reason (I think) you can't see the controls in the drop-down property-list is because VB doesn't update things that happen in code at design time.

After you have assigned a child control to the Coolbar, just use the control as you normally would, it doesn't change anything.

Ex: you can still use Text1.Text, and not Coolbar1.Text1.Text.

I hope this helps a littlebit.
