I am currently using HTML, ASP and ActiveFile to upload files from user machines to a Web Server. Once they get uploaded to the Web server, I would like to kick off a virus scan application to check for viruses.

How can I invoke an executable at the end of my Active Server Page?

I would like this to work on Windows 95, 98 and NT. I don't have any experience in CGI yet, but figure CGI is what I need?

An example would really help.

Thanks

You can use ASPExec which is a free component.  It can run programs on your server.  Check it out at http://www.serverobjects.com
