Multi-threaded database on the network

I tried doing a SELECT...UNION to read data from table_1 (in the current app.) and table_2 (table in a different folder), but it's not working.  So I tried doing a query on table_2 (w/ a different session) and then appending it to a temp. table (w/ TBatchMove) in the current app., but I am getting an EDBEngineError:'Attemp to mix objects from different Sessions'.

Note: The current's app. tables are using the default session and table_2 is accessed using a different session.

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

hi ocean9,

not checked with the different sessions,
but so is it done

with physically paths
select * from "c:\pd_work\t2.db" union all select * from "c:\pd_work2\ty.db"

or with aliases
select * from ":PD_Worker:t2" union all select * from ":PD_Worker2:ty"

Yes, this would work fine on a local machine, but both the applications are on the network, therefore it involves .NET files so this doesn't work.

hi ocean9,
you should try to centralize the .NET-file for each application, for each client to a shared network-drive.

I don't know if kretzschmar's solutions works but i though you had to centralize the .net file for all your applications.
