The WEB navigator retrieval process

I'm getting the following message when I choose 'Preview in web browser' from the 'design' menu, to preview a form:
"The WEB navigator retrieval process is not running"
I'm running Notes 4.6.3 client with a Notes 4.5.2 server, and i'm wanting to view 4.6-specific functionality using a client-side preview, rather than going through the server (as its only v4.5.2 so doesn't have some functionality).

Thanks,
M.

u should start the web retriever process on the server. in the server console type: load web.  But I suggest u use a different browser, like netscape. u can define this in your location document in the field 'browse', choose netscape explorer.  So for previewing it will start netscape.

Ghassan,
Thanks for the quick answer, but I didn't want to use the server's retrieval process, because it is running v4.5.2 which doesn't include some of v4.6's functionality. If i do it this way, it doesn't look as it should with 4.6 (i can't upgrade the server, as its not mine to upgrade).
As i said, because of this i want to run the preview client-side only, ie with the location on 'island'.

Hope you can help,
M.
That was my other suggestion, use netscape!

Ah, i see. If i change the 'island' location document so it uses IE (don't have netscape), then it seems to work.

OK, Ghassan, if you answer with that, you can have the points.

Cheers! :-)

Nope, they are on separate machines. They can't be on the same workstation with different versions can they?
never tried it!:)
