Where can I find a driver for my modem?

the knerl chip of my modem is made from Rockwell.

If the default does not work, its a winmodem, and your are out of luck. However, just using the driver /dev/modem usally works.

That depends on weather your modem is a pci or isa and
winmodem or not.  If it's a winmodem you are out of luck.
first try each of the 4 comports. /dev/ttyS0 /dev/ttyS1 ...
if its pci and it doesn't work you may need to change your
bios settings.  where it says plug and play os needs to be no.  if its isa you may need to use the isapnp programs.  These  are rather complicated and you may need to read some docs.
