My app is now ready and it works just fine in my computer under the delphi environement. My problem now is that i want three things:
1. Make an exe file so that i can use the app in my pc outside delphi.
2. Make a setup program or whatever it is needed so that i can use my app in other computers under the delphi environement.
3. Make whatever is needed to that my app work in computers that don´t have delphi.

Notes:
My app has 6 forms all saved in the directory c:\FarmGest\
My project file is saved in the same directory
My app uses a paradox database with 7 tables, under the alias FarmGest wich points to the directory c:\FarmGest\

Hi Elvas...

1) When you compile your program you have the .EXE file!

2) Install the InstallShield Lite program from the Delphi CD. Use this to create the setup program (its easy as pie to use...)

3) You will need to include the BDE inthe installer - this is an option in the InstallShield lite program.

You will need to setup the alias in the installer (again this is simple and strightforward), and to include the table files with the .EXE file.

Cheers,

Raymond.

I just finished grading the last answer and i feel that i shoul´d grade this one right now. My problem is that i don´t have the cd with me and i think that the setup program is not instaled.
but the pc where this app will run(just to see if they like it!), has delphi, so how can i take the app in disksand then run it over there?

thank you once again raymond

You should be able to copy just the .EXE and your tables. The easiest way to deal with the alias is probably to to just create it again on the other machine (or you could look at creating the alias at runtime...) This assumes that the other machine has the BDE installed which is fairly likely...

Cheers,

Raymond.
